Almost every day a new coworking space is opening anywhere on the globe. So no wonder why so many people are talking about »Coworking Spaces« in these days. But working in a coworking space is often considered as working in a relatively cheap but simple infrastructure. So what makes these flexibly usable workspaces so popular? And what kind of potentials they might offer for companies and their employees? Questions like these were part of the research my colleagues have done last year. The results were now published as a bilingual research report (in english and german) with the name »Fascination Coworking – Potentials for Companies and their Employees«.
On 176 pages you will learn something about the history of coworking followes by a discussion about the recent hype. They also describe the term coworking and it’s origin as well as the basic character of coworking right before before they give you answers to the question what’s behind the fascination of this relatively new workstyle.
How companies and the people working there can profit from the coworking world is part of the next chapter. They also address the question if something similar can be implemented inside a company. The research report »Fascination Coworking« therefore shows starting points and cooperation models and depicts possible future scenarios inclusive the preconditions, chances and challenges companies might face.
